Harvest Celebration & Faith Meal
24th September 10:45am
Our morning service will be centred on our Harvest Celebration when we give thanks to God for His provision in our lives both personally and as a church family. As is usual for us we will be having a ‘Faith Meal’ following the service so please stay and enjoy some excellent food and company.
As in previous years and as a lead up to Harvest time we have asked our members and those who enjoy our group activities if they would like to donate either food or money to two charities we have supported before.
The M25 Housing & Support Group is a charity that has worked in Doncaster since 1994. Their aim is “To prevent homelessness and break the cycles which cause homelessness, through the provision of effective support and advice …” Food parcels help tremendously.
Monetary donations are sent to Caring For Life, a Christian charity with the aim of sharing the love of Jesus with homeless or vulnerable people by providing accommodation, ongoing support, love and friendship.
“Out of the most severe trial, their over-flowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability.
Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 8:2 & 2 Corinthians 9:7
