A New Year Begins

A new year begins

a time to reflect and look forward

At Christmas we celebrated the birth of our Lord and Saviour and it was wonderful to see old and new faces joining us over the Christmas period.

We held two carol services this year which were both well attended and many thanks to those who braved the cold to sing outside the church before the services started.

Throughout the year we regularly hold many themed social events and walks, and during 2017, this included a Family Fun Day, A Family Chocolate Evening, A Bonfire Party, A Christmas Craft Evening as well as the Harvest Celebration Service, Shoebox Service, faith meals, and more.  (If you would like to see more about these take a look at our archive news posts.)

Over the Christmas period many of our regular activities took a break but will be starting up again this month.  Information is regularly posted on the events calendar when these changes occur.  If you want to know more about all the activities we do then please check out our Weekly Activities page.

In 2017, we also had the opportunity to run a Christianity Explored course and a study course which ran on various Wednesday evenings on Christian Beliefs.  Christianity Explored are friendly group sessions, usually held in a member’s or the Pastor’s home.  (If you would like to know more please talk with our Deacons or Pastor.)

We look forward to continuing our activities throughout 2018 and give thanks for God’s faithfulness to us.

“Great is His love towards us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures for ever. Praise the LORD.”  Psalm 117v2
