Sunday 10th November at 10:45am
Remembrance Sunday is held in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth of Nations as a day “to commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women in the two World Wars and later conflicts”. It is held on the second Sunday in November, the Sunday nearest to 11 November, Armistice Day, the anniversary of the end of hostilities in the First World War at 11 am in 1918.
Please join us as we remember not only the sacrifice of Jesus Christ but those who have fallen in conflict.
Shoe Box Appeal (Blythswood Care)
We know that many of you in our community like to get involved so you can bring either your own completed shoebox or items that can be used to make a shoebox up to the service.
For full information about the appeal please visit Blythswood Care Shoe Box Appeal. You are able to download or view a checklist of suggested items, or alternatively you can pick up a leaflet from our church. (All items must be new and no food is permitted apart from sweets with a best before date no earlier than March 2020.)
This is the last day for bringing your completed boxes or items as they will be being collected on Monday 11th November.
