Service Information – 4 October

This week Gareth returns as we celebrate Harvest in our morning service and he continues the story of Joseph in Genesis as we see the brothers return for a second time.

There are two ways for you to take part in our Online Services in your homes. Visually via our YouTube Channel or you can listen to the audio on our Website Sermon Page. (Once on the Website sermon page click on the individual sermon name to get access to a description of the sermon, sermons notes and global links for the hymns listed below.)

Morning Service

Hymn: Come ye thankful people, come
Reading: Ruth 1:16-2:13
Hymn: We plough the fields and scatter
The message: ‘under whose wings you have come to take refuge’

We welcome you to our Harvest Service and take a look at the book of Ruth and in particular explore verse 12 in chapter 2.

Hymn: Now thank we all our God

Evening Service

Hymn: I am not skilled to understand
Reading: Genesis 44:1-16
Hymn: What a faithful God
The Message: The Benjamin Incident

In the film ‘Groundhog Day’ a reporter relives the same day over and over to learn from his mistakes. We see something like this as the brothers are tested to see if they have changed or will react the same as before.

Hymn: I asked the Lord that I might grow

Please pray for our church as we look at ways of safely opening our doors again.

(Sermons will be available on both formats Sunday morning)
