Service Information – 11 October

This morning Gareth continues taking us through the ‘Upper Room Discourse’ and what it fully means to be a Christian.  This evening’s sermon brings us to a pivotal moment in ‘Joseph of Genesis’ as we discover Benjamin’s fate.

There are two ways for you to take part in our Online Services in your homes. Visually via our YouTube Channel or you can listen to the audio on our Website Sermon Page. (Once on the Website sermon page click on the individual sermon name to get access to a description of the sermon, sermons notes and global links for the hymns listed below.)

Morning Service

Hymn: I serve a risen Saviour
Reading: John 14:15-31
Hymn: Loved with everlasting love
The message: Christ and His own

As we continue to explore the comfort and encouragement found in this passage, today we look at the reality of what it fully means to be a Christian – to have and know Christ as your own.

Hymn: Holy Spirit, living breath of God

Evening Service

Hymn: Jesus the name high over all
Reading: Genesis 44:16-34
Hymn: Before the throne of God above
The Message: Flash, bang, wallop, what a picture!

After being tested to see if they would abandon Benjamin we look now at one of the most moving accounts of pleading in the Bible, as Judah, although not the eldest, speaks up on Benjamin’s behalf.

Hymn: What a friend we have in Jesus

Please pray for our church as we look at ways of safely opening our doors again.

(Sermons will be available on both formats Sunday morning)
