Absence and Presence! (John 13:33-35)

Rev Gareth JamesRev Gareth James, June 14, 2020
Part of the The Upper Room series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Quite often people who know they are dying try to prepare those who are to be left. Although knowing He faced immense suffering Jesus needs to prepare His disciples, to let them know that they can carry on.

John 13:33-35

33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You will seek me, and just as I said to the Jews, so now I also say to you, ‘Where I am going you cannot come.’ 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (ESV)
