Do we know our weaknesses? (2 Timothy 4:3-5)

Tom RestonTom Reston, February 21, 2021
Part of the Guest Speakers series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Tom continues to consider the Characteristics of discipleship we need to have in our own lives if we are to be able, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to go and make disciples of others. We must rely on God for our effectiveness rather than on ourselves. God uses our weakness not only to develop Christian character; but to deepen our understanding of God, because in admitting our weakness we affirm God's strength.

2 Timothy 4:3-5

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. (ESV)
