Sunday Services

May 23

We continue to hold our morning worship in our church as well as live-streaming on our YouTube channel from 10:45am.  Attendance will be limited in numbers, done under strict Covid Safety Guidelines, and seats will be allocated to those who have pre-registered. Please find details of how to register on the ‘Contact Us’ page.

The evening service, which is also live-streamed on YouTube, now starts at 6pm.  As usual the audio for both sermons will be available on our website from the Monday.

Today our services will be led by Chris Brearley.

Chris served as an elder at St John’s Wood Road Baptist Church, London for almost twenty years before retiring to York in March 2004. He has been preaching and teaching since 1976 and continues to be actively involved in an itinerant ministry and writing. Chris will be taking both our morning and evening services today.

AM Service

Bible reading Psalm 23

God’s people have times of difficulty and times of rejoicing.

Psalm 23 expresses David’s personal confidence, joy and triumph from beginning to end. Whatever the situation, if the Lord is our Shepherd, we need not fear.

PM Service

Bible reading Revelation 2:1-7

The Letter to Ephesus.

The church exhibits three virtues which Jesus Christ could commend. Only one thing was lacking, they had lost their first love. In a word they were ‘backsliders.’ The remedy is for them to work as they first did.
