The blessings of Christ's absence! (John 16:1-16)

Rev Gareth JamesRev Gareth James, April 25, 2021
Part of the The Upper Room series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Jesus had again told the disciples of the hardships they could expect when He had returned to the Father, but the He began to encourage them with the blessings they would know and benefit from because He had returned to the Father. He tells them of the blessings of the work and person of the Holy Spirit in all their lives and all the situations they would encounter. The same words of comfort and encouragement are true for all believers through the ages and in our age. We are not abandoned and left helpless, but we have the blessing of the work and person of God the Holy Spirit in and for our lives.
