The Christ glorifying Guide. (John 16:12-16)

Rev Gareth JamesRev Gareth James, May 30, 2021
Part of the The Upper Room series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

A reliable guide is essential in situations you do not know and can even be fooled, led astray and even hoodwinked in. The apostles needed a guide as Jesus would return back to His Father and Jesus tells the apostles of the Holy Spirit and His work as He would be a trustworthy and reliable guide who would lead them into all truth – about who Jesus is, what He has accomplished in the work of salvation and how it is to be worked out from that point on in the lives of believers throughout all ages. Yet in all the work this Divine Guide does, His chief aim is the glorify Jesus in all He does, especially as the Holy Spirit works in the lives of people from all nations, backgrounds and nationalities and brings them to trust the Lord Jesus as their own Saviour. He then enables those same believers to also to glorify Christ in and through their lives as they show out the life and change the Saviour has made in their lives.
