Grace in the 'Submarine'! (Jonah 1:15-2:10)

Rev Gareth JamesRev Gareth James, June 27, 2021
Part of the Jonah series, preached at a Sunday Evening service

None of us can outfight or outbox God, but Jonah tried to as he defied God. Jonah went out of the boat and into the fish! Yet, as he sank in the sea and was swallowed by the fish that seemed to be his tomb, he came to his senses, at last prayed and cried out to God, praises Him and owns that "Salvation comes from the Lord". It is only God who can give us salvation and He can deal with us in the strangest of places and bring us to Him for the first time or restore us if we have wandered away from Him. With the Lord there is hope to be found if we truly cry out to Him.
