A Welcome from Our Elders to Our New Pastor and His Family

“And I will give you shepherds after My own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.”
Jeremiah 3v15 (ESV)

We give thanks to our Heavenly Father for the provision of Pastors in our church’s life over the many years of Doncaster Evangelical Church.  They have taught us to love the Bible, to appreciate that “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.“  2 Timothy 3v16 (NIV)

And it is with this thankful heart that we are encouraged to introduce our new Pastor, Tim Prismon, who took up the role of Pastor at the start of September 2026.  He is excited to continue that crucial role of teaching, and shepherding all at DEC as we continue to trust God, because He always keeps His promises.  “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1v6 (NIV)

Tim is still in the early process of moving and setting up home, organising schools and settling into new life in Doncaster.  Our plan for the Church is to continue largely with the visiting speakers already booked for September and October, with Tim also preaching twice in both those months.  This will also give him the opportunity to get to know our members and friends of the church, as well as see the church in action in its various ministries.

We thank God for blessing our fellowship with pastors who have upheld its commitment to Bible teaching, and we look forward with confidence to this new chapter in our history.

What a delight it was to celebrate the wedding of Josh and Naomi last night, a most lovely introduction to Doncaster Evangelical Church.

It is a real joy to be with you at last here in Doncaster.  We’ve now settled in and driving around this vast city along with its little villages and hamlets that surround it has been a pleasure.  I am sure there are many people who need a living relationship with our Lord Jesus, and we are only beginning to grasp just how great that need is.

This coming month we are looking forward mostly to simply worshipping together and getting to know you.  In fact, I will only be preaching twice, so I shall have an unusually large amount of free time.  I would love to meet as many as possible, to hear your stories, answer any questions you may have, and listen to your hopes and dreams for the future of DEC.
